To quote myself in my earlier review of The Diabolical Dr Z:
The most impressive sequence is the fist-fight between Philippe (Fernando Montes) and Hans Bergen (Guy Mairesse), which starts in the basement in a fantastic one-take fight through a long corridor, and then cuts and goes up into the mansion.
Look at this piece of action. Just look at it. The Diabolical Dr Z is one of the great films of the sixties and a masterpiece in Jess Franco's enormous filmography. But I'm extra fascinated by the stunning action sequence. It's like Old Boy, just from a different angle! It's like Franco Gothic mixed with James Bond!
Imagine a scene like this in another film in the same genre and same budget scale? No, it would never happen. Just Franco could pull this off. I ripped the scene from the DVD quickly once to show my friend Aey - so sorry about the crappy quality. I think you still can see what's happening :)
Enjoy!

Pretty impressive...I haven´t seen the film but I liked the way he used shadows and light in that one.
Also filming from behind makes it better then the scene in Oldeuboi/Old Boy (2003), I think.
Thanks Fred/Ninja.
