Interesting ramblings......could be that they want to compete with the various monsters in Pacific Rim (2013), so they added some more monsters than just Godzilla in this one.
Don´t worry Fred, Dave Callaham co-wrote
Doom (2005) and you like that one.
I think the storyline is going to be quite generic, more like Super 8 (2011) , or maybe Cloverfield (2008) , after all Gareth Edwards seem to be using a mock doc style judging from some of the footage.
It looks better than Pacific Rim (2013), I found it to be bland and uneven.
