This will be so awesome! I learned about this from my pal François Gaillard, the brilliant director between Blackaria and Last Caress. Just the combination of French talent in a Japanese movie gives me goosebumps, so read their pitch:
Do you like Crazy Japanese Movies, Anthology film as CREEPSHOW or TALES FROM THE CRYPT, New Wave of French horror, werewolves, hunter, Tokyo, Giallo & time travel...?
Then TOKYO GRAND GUIGNOL is made for you – 4 scary and wicked stories for a feature film anthology.
The movie is a completely indie project from Dice Entertainment, born from the passion of Japanese actor/producer Hiroei Ishihara and his 2 associates Gilles Landucci and Yann Moreau.
TOKYO GRAND GUIGNOL is an unique and amazingly exciting multi-cultural project for which we’ve even managed to get the support of worldwide acclaimed French directors
Xavier Gens(worldwide acclaimed for his movies THE DIVIDE, FRONTIER(S) and HITMAN); Jean Frederic Chaleyat (multi-award winner for his short film ENGRENAGES), and Frederic Grousset, famous for his innovative features AQUARIUM and CLIMAX.
Look at the talent involved! Wow!
Most of the film is actually shot, there's one episode (which they shoot in May, pity because I'm going to Tokyo in June! I wanted to visit the set!) left and then they also need money for post-production etc etc. The normal hazzles of independent filmmaking.
As soon as my paycheck stumbles in like a drunk whore on Friday I will give them what I can give, because I want to see this movie as soon as possible. French genre-sensibility in Tokyo, that's just a dream come true.
Check out their IndieGoGo - it has an early teaser trailer (looks fantastic), more pics and info about the project!
"and info about the project!"
Thanks for the info Fred.
